Welcome to the website of Saint Theophan the Recluse Orthodox Mission, located in Gwenette County, Georgia, and serving the Greater Atlanta Metro Area!

We were founded in December 2012, with the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Pavlos of the Church of the GOC of Americato bring True Orthodox Christians together for worship and fellowship, with the ultimate aim of establishing a full parish in the area.

Prior to the establishment of our mission, True Orthodox Christians living in the Atlanta area had to travel great distances to attend traditional Orthodox worship, but now we are able to sponsor a visiting priest on a regular rotation.

On Sundays when we are not having a Divine Liturgy, we still meet together to pray the Hours and Typica (Reader’s Service) which is how Orthodox Christians living far from a parish maintain the cycle of prayer. Visitors and inquirers are welcome; please use the contact link above.
